The Echo Press's annual Strike Out Illiteracy fundraiser was held September 18.
The Echo Press’s annual “Strike Out Illiteracy” fundraiser was a smashing success at Garden Center in Alexandria Tuesday.
Thirty-one teams bowled three games and raised more than $5,000 for the Newspapers in Education program, which places newspapers in local classrooms as a teaching tool.
The winning team was Garden Center, followed by the Kiwanis Club and Viking Savings Bank.
