Maynard Svee, 71

Maynard Otto Svee, 71, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Prairie Wood Home.

Maynard was born August 31, 1941 in Alexandria, the son of Otto and Mabel (Torkelson) Svee. He attended school in Alexandria and enjoyed working at the DAC.

Maynard will be remembered for his beautiful smile, his love of children and his joking manner. He also enjoyed music and race cars.

He is survived by his five brothers and sisters, Beverly Botzet of Alexandria, Mavis Maher of Osakis, Stanley Svee of Alexandria, James (Connie) Svee of Alexandria, Donald (Maxine) Svee of Alexandria; numerous nieces and nephews and his extended family at Prairie Wood Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Mabel; brother, Edwin; and sisters, Helen Zentgraf and Ardell Maher.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 21 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial was at East Moe Cemetery.
