Jefferson High School to host regional college fair

Jefferson High School (JHS) will host a Minnesota Education Fair (MEF), sponsored by the Minnesota Association of College Admission Counselors, on October 1.

Jefferson High School (JHS) will host a Minnesota Education Fair (MEF), sponsored by the Minnesota Association of College Admission Counselors, on October 1. Nearly 80 public and private colleges and universities, community and technical colleges, proprietary schools and military organizations will be represented in the large and small gyms at JHS.

This event gives students and parents an opportunity to explore a variety of options for continued education, technical training or military service after high school. Students and parents are able to visit with the representatives, ask questions and obtain literature about the schools and organizations of interest to them.

Save time at the college fair by registering personal information ahead of time and create a personal barcode to be scanned at the fair by the colleges. Register at www.gotomef.com before attending the MEF, print out the barcode and bring it to the fair.

Admission is free. Fair hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact the JHS guidance office at (320) 762-0193.
