Out and About - Let's Go Fishing

Veterans were recently treated to a day of boating and fishing followed by a fish fry.

Let’s Go Fishing, with help from Nelson Gables assisted living facility in Alexandria, treated area veterans to a free day of boating and fishing followed by a fish fry last Tuesday.

The fish were donated by the Viking Sportsmen Club. Entertainment was provided by the Geneva Bells and everyone joined in singing patriotic songs. Chaplain Jim offered prayers and a message of gratitude for the veterans.

Let’s Go Fishing has been honoring veterans

with a fishing day for the last three years.
