--Anthony Zimny from Partington, Zimny Insurance was recently selected to Allied Insurance’s inaugural Des Moines Regional Office Independent Agent Advisory Council on a three-year term. The council will consist of 12 independent agents from an 11-state region.
Members of the council will work jointly with regional leadership to develop solutions that impact the company at a local and national level.

--Zion Lutheran School recently received $2,132.63 from the Target Take Charge of Education Program. To date, Target has donated more than $300 million to help K-12 schools through Take Charge of Education, an enormous investment that’s directly helping students year after year.
When parents, teachers or other school supporters use the REDcard, Target donates up to 5 percent of their purchases to the eligible K-12 school they designate.

--Carmen Hudson from Alexandria received the Spirit Award from Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS). The award honors employees who demonstrate outstanding commitment and dedication to the LSS vision and mission. Hudson serves in Personal Support Services, providing support to people with disabilities for LSS.
Spirit Award winners were honored and recognized at an awards luncheon at Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud on August 22.
