Volleyball: Minnewaska takes 3-1 victory from Benson
Minnewaska had to play an exceptionally long first set against Benson Tuesday night, edging the Braves 33-31 in the opener, before moving on to win 25-19, 25-27 and 25-20 to improve to 2-1 in West Central South Conference volleyball action.
Lexi Amundson led the way offensively for the Lakers with 20 kills, adding 12 digs, while Ashton Byrne and Taylor Noetzelman had seven kills apiece.
Byrne also had 37 set assists in the win.
