Pro-life speaker shares message of hope
Pro-life speaker and attorney, Rebecca Kiessling, seeks to bring a story of hope to her planned talk, "Conceived in Rape, Meant to Live," at Discovery Middle School gym in Alexandria on Wednesday, September 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Adopted as a baby, Kiessling knew almost nothing about her birth mother. When she was 18, she learned that her mother was brutally raped, conceived a baby and attempted to have an abortion.
Despite the shock of hearing she could have been aborted, Kiessling later discovered that the circumstances surrounding her birth didn't detract from her worth.
"My value is not based on how I was conceived, who raised me, what other people think of my life, or even what I do with my life. I'm not a product of rape, but a child of God," she said.
Now, as an attorney, she gladly represents women for free who are being coerced into aborting. She travels across North America sharing her journey from feeling worthless to knowing that she is priceless.
The talk is sponsored by Birthright Pregnancy Resource Center. There is no cost for this event. Refreshments will be served.
