To the editor:
Years ago, The Millerville Sportsmen Club built a bathing house at the public access on Lake Aaron. Eventually, we had to tear it down because of vandalism and misuse.
Several years later, we paid to have portable toilets put on the public accesses of Lake Moses and Lake Aaron so that boaters and people using the beach could have a facility to use. Each year the one on Lake Aaron has been vandalized in some way or another.
This year in the early morning hours of July 22, someone put a bale of straw in the door opening and set it on fire. It was completely destroyed.
We regret that we will no longer be able to have portable toilets put out until the person(s) responsible are caught. The Millerville Sportsmen Club is offering a reward of $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
