Letter - Everyone will feel effects of climate change

Romney’s speech left a lot to be desired and some of his comments were dangerously misleading and indefensible. For instance, his comment on President Obama’s take on global warming; he, with tongue-in-cheek, said Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet, at which time the audience actually laughed.

To the editor:

Romney’s speech left a lot to be desired and some of his comments were dangerously misleading and indefensible. For instance, his comment on President Obama’s take on global warming; he, with tongue-in-cheek, said Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet, at which time the audience actually laughed. Romney’s promise … I will help you and your family. I mean, get serious, your family and the whole planet of families cannot survive without a fix to the climate.

The deniers are so uninformed and misled and refuse to even look at or listen to the facts. Their premise is untenable given the science!

Apparently Romney and his party are not only not concerned with climate change but exhibit an anti-intellectualism and anti-science mindset and their followers espouse without the benefit of the unbiased scientific facts.

The truth is that if nothing is done now in our lifetime, everyone will feel the effects of climate change; not only in their pockets but in the future on their planet as we know it.

Readers, educate yourself for your family and your planet.
