The annual Carlos Creek Winery Grape Stomp and Fall Festival runs Friday through Sunday, September 14-16.
Attracting more than 15,000 people over the three-day festival, the grape stomp is packed with activities. Along with wine and beer sampling and grape stomping, the festival offers a variety of venders, from food to marketplace goods to juried art.
Friday events include grape stomp competitions, and entertainment by the Dweebs, Tina and Lena, Matt Veline, BZ Girls and Josie Nelson.
Saturday features performances by Katie Ray, Anthony and Sam Miltich, Matt Veline, Josie Nelson, Salty Dogs, Jeff James and comedian Jason Huneke.
The grape stomp championships will be held, best costume awards handed out and the Alexandria Area Arts Association will present "The Grapes of Laugh," an I Love Lucy re-enactment.
Sunday's events include performances by Skilly and Duff, Tucker'd Out, the Jahara Belly Dancers, comedian Jason Huneke and Dancin' Off Broadway. The Vikings football game will be aired on the big screen, and the Stomp for a Cause will be held (see related story below).

STOMP FOR A CAUSE
Support local nonprofits at Carlos Creek Winery's Stomp for a Cause event on Sunday, September 16 - the final day of the Grape Stomp Festival. This new event is dedicated to raising money for a Douglas County nonprofit.
Eight nonprofit teams will compete, vying for the opportunity to be next year's Stomp for a Cause recipient. The teams include the Alexandria Jaycees, West Central Community Action, Ecumen-Bethany, Youth Hockey, Alexandria Opportunity Center, Knute Nelson, Lakes Area Recreation and Someplace Safe.
As this year's nonprofit recipient, the Alexandria Area Arts Association (AAAA) will receive 100 percent of the teams' stomping fees ($25 per team) and will have the opportunity to share information about its upcoming season, volunteer opportunities, tickets, etc.
There is no entrance fee Sunday. The public is encouraged to come out and cheer on their favorite team.
