Quilts by Ruth Gess on display at Evansville Art Center
The Evansville Art Center is displaying a variety of Ruth Gess' quilts: bed quilts, runners, wall hangings and lap quilts. The current selection will be on display in the gallery through the end of September and then replaced with her fall and winter quilts.

The Evansville Art Center is displaying a variety of Ruth Gess' quilts: bed quilts, runners, wall hangings and lap quilts. The current selection will be on display in the gallery through the end of September and then replaced with her fall and winter quilts.
Gess has been interested and involved with textile arts most of her life. She has a master's degree in textiles and has taught college level classes in fabric-related courses and textiles. She also has a law degree, studying consumer sovereignty in the textile industry.
She managed a successful quilt shop for nine years before selling it. She now does machine quilting and works in the family eye clinic.
