The Minnewaska tennis team improved to 5-0 on the season on August 23 with a 5-2 win over Montevideo.
The Lakers swept the singles lineup with wins from Ellen Stensrud, Jada Hoffman, Hannah Freske and Joelle Thorfinnson. Stensrud and Hoffman needed three sets but they got the job done in the third to secure the win.
Rachel Riley and MaKenna Hanson got the only win for Minnewaska in the doubles lineup. They teamed up to beat Rose Reinert and Lindsey Moe 7-5, 6-1.
