Osakis ran in to a buzz saw its opening match at the State Class A team tennis tournament this morning, falling to Waseca 7-0. The Silverstreaks drop into the consolation bracket and will play Staples-Motley at 4 p.m. today at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis. Waseca was ranked No. 3 in the final State Class A polls.
Staples-Motley lost to The Blake School by a score of 7-0.
If Osakis would defeat the Cardinals, they would play for the consolation championship tomorrow, Wednesday, at noon.
