The Osakis tennis team made it a clean sweep in its home quadrangular to kick off the season on Monday by taking its two afternoon matches against Morris and New York Mills by a 7-0 score.
Every win in both matches came in straight sets for the defending 6A champions. Taylor Kraemer, Hannah Baker and Angie Bowman all made easy work of things in both matches in the top three singles spots. Hannah Szech did the same in a 6-2, 6-2 win over her Morris opponent before winning by forfeit against New York Mills at fourth singles.
The doubles lineup was equally as dominant in both matches. Lauren Silbernick and Alexa Hoffarth moved to 3-0 together on the young season after a couple of straight-set victories at first doubles. Peyton Garcia and Katie Anderson won at third doubles against Morris and moved to second doubles against New York Mills where they won 6-1, 6-1.
Elyse Wiener got a couple wins in the doubles lineup as well. She teamed with Morgan Silbernick in a 6-2, 6-1 win against New York Mills. Wiener also worked with Katelyn Foster to win 6-1, 6-3 against their Morris counterparts.
