Otto Bremer Foundation awards $27,500 to Rainbow Rider

The Otto Bremer Foundation, majority owner of Bremer Bank, awarded $27,500 to the Rainbow Rider Transit Board. The funds will be used to purchase IT dispatch equipment for integrated community transportation for Douglas, Pope, Stevens, Grant, Todd and Traverse counties.

The Otto Bremer Foundation, majority owner of Bremer Bank, awarded $27,500 to the Rainbow Rider Transit Board. The funds will be used to purchase IT dispatch equipment for integrated community transportation for Douglas, Pope, Stevens, Grant, Todd and Traverse counties.

Rainbow Rider is a public transportation provider currently providing service in Douglas, Pope, Stevens, Grant, Todd and Traverse counties. Rainbow Rider supplies more than 650 rides per day to residents of all ages. 162,000 rides were provided in 2011.

Rainbow Rider offers transportation to the disabled, elderly, students, children and adults of all ages. This award will allow Rainbow Rider staff and the members of its Joint Powers Board to enhance and create the efficiencies to provide even more service.
