Letter - Congratulations to amateur baseball teams

To the editor:

Hearty congratulations to the Miltona Tigers, Osakis Hawks and the Carlos Cougars baseball teams! What wonderful seasons they had; throughout the season and in the playoffs.

These are a remarkable group of young men who are not only talented, but are just as courteous and sociable as they are great sportsmen.

Although nearly every weekend is filled with games and practices, many of them still took the time to hold youth camps to share their talents and help teach youngsters the fundamentals of the game. Great going, guys.

These teams provide wonderful entertainment for the whole family and show how good camaraderie and great sportsmanship can succeed. Thanks to all of them for a super summer.

Thanks also needs to go to the coaches, the announcers, the concession workers, certainly the bat boys, and all who help with the teams.
