New Sertoman of the year named

2011-12 Sertoman of the Year was recently awarded to Chris Mohr.

Mohr served as secretary for Sertoma for two years and was in charge of the IFC raffle for three years. She went to regional conference last year. For the upcoming ice fishing challenge, she will be Sertoma’s treasurer/secretary. She has also helped with ditch pick and worked at Special Olympics.

As for community involvement, Mohr serves on the Habitat for Humanity Family Selection Committee, was a Women Build team leader and has been leading a team in advocacy, fundraising and building a Habitat home this July/August.

She is treasurer for the Victoria Pines Homeowners Association. She also graduated from the Chamber’s Leadership Alexandria program this year and works at Glenwood State Bank as a personal banker.

She is wife to Mike Mohr and mother of Wyatt, 7, and Rachel, 5.
