Today is the primary election -- have you voted yet?
Turnout was reported as "very good" at Lake Community Church, which is the polling place for Alexandria Ward 1, precincts 1 and 2. As of 12:30 p.m. today, more than 150 people had voted.
Polls will remain open until 8 p.m. throughout Douglas County. Contested local races in the primary include:
Douglas County Commissioner District 2 -- Norm Salto, Jim Hafdal and James Stratton.
Douglas County Commissioner District 3 -- Bev Bales, David Erickson, Bert Pexsa and Jerry Rapp.
Douglas County Commissioner District 4 -- Paul C. Anderson, Bill Dropik, Don Kortie Jr. and Charlie Meyer.
The two top vote-getters in each of those districts will appear on general election ballot this fall.
