Duncan chosen as youth representative
Runestone Electric Association (REA) chose Carter Duncan as a 2012 Youth Tour Delegate to Washington, D.C., and while he attended the tour in June, Minnesota Rural Electric Association leaders selected Duncan from 11 candidates to be Minnesota's representative on the Youth Leadership Council (YLC). Duncan is president of the National Honor Society at his school and has a 4.0 grade point average. He will graduate from West Central Area School in Barrett in 2013 and aspires to become a rural family practice doctor.

Carlson featured in college article
Ariel Carlson of Alexandria, daughter of Kathryn Carlson and Allan Carlson, was recently featured in the St. Olaf College news article New Scholarship Program Supports Summer Internships. She is a biology major, the officer of St. Olaf's Pre-Vet Club and is using a Minnesota Zoo scholarship to explore which area of veterinary medicine she wants to pursue.
