Today, August 14, Obama for America’s four-state RV tour will make stops in western Minnesota, including Alexandria.
The “Heartland Tour 2012: Moving the Middle Class Forward” will make more than 21 stops across Minnesota before heading to Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio. Leaders from around Minnesota will join the Heartland Tour from August 11th – August 17th, including Congresswoman Betty McCollum, State Reps. Al Juhnke, Terry Morrow, Erin Murphy, and Rick Hansen, State Sen. Keith Langseth, health professionals, small business owners and middle-class families.
The Minnesota leg of the Heartland Tour will make stops in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester, Albert Lea, Mankato, Willmar, Morris, Alexandria, Moorhead, Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Virginia, Duluth, St Cloud, and other towns around the state –and then make multiple stops in Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio over the next three weeks.
In Alexandria, a Heartland Tour Economic Roundtable will take place at Dunn Brothers, 405 50th Avenue West, at 3 p.m. It will feature Rep. Terry Morrow, Rep. Erin Murphy, Rep. Rick Hansen, along with local voters and OFA-MN supporters.
