Letter - FCA summer sports and leadership camps are life-changing
On behalf of the Alexandria Adult FCA chapter and the campers, with great gratitude, we thank the many individuals and businesses that have made it possible to help send hundreds of area teenagers to these excellent, life-changing camps over the past 45 years.
To the editor:
“The best four days of my life … The clinicians were very kind and helpful … The instructors were awesome and really helped me improve my game … This camp has given me patience … The huddles and chapels were awesome … Being at camp really reconnects me with the Lord and strengthens my faith as well as my game … I re-accepted Christ because I felt like I was living a double life … I want the Spirit to transform me into a better person … A great way to re-ignite the fire in my life in a fun way and learn a lot of good life lessons … thanks to this camp, I have accepted God into my life … I can’t wait to go back next year!”
These are just a few of the comments from the 61 student athletes that attended this year’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) summer sports and leadership camps.
