Sauk River Watershed District officers named
The Sauk River Watershed District (SRWD) recently selected 2012-13 officers to the Board of Managers.

John Harren of Stearns County was selected as president, Jim Kral of Todd County was selected as vice president, Jason Scherping of Stearns County was selected as secretary and Tim Lunsford of Stearns County was selected as treasurer.
Managers reappointed for another term include Jason Scherping, Vernon Vangsness from Todd County and Bob Mostad from Douglas County. Other managers include Todd Foster of Stearns County, Larry Kuseske of Pope County and Virgil Rettig of Meeker County.
Managers on the board are responsible for preparing for and attending meetings, serving as a liaison to the local community, attending regional and statewide training and responding professionally to inquiries from the public. In addition, they oversee and guide the overall planning and implementation of education, monitoring, construction and regulatory programs.
The SRWD covers parts of five counties. Managers are selected to serve three-year terms by commissioners to represent the interests of Douglas, Meeker, Pope, Stearns and Todd counties.
