VFW baseball: Alexandria I team opens state tourney
The 57th annual VFW state tournament will take place August 9-12 in Mankato at Franklin Rogers field and Mankato East High School. Alexandria’s first game will be August 9 at 12:30 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park against Champlin, the winner of District 7.
The double-elimination tournament also includes Bemidji, Marshall, St. Cloud, Ely, North St. Paul, Rochester, Shakopee and host Mankato.
