One woman remains in serious condition at St. Cloud Hospital after a head-on collision in Alexandria on Monday.

Gladys Zellgert, 86, of Long Prairie was a passenger in a 2004 Chevy Impala that was involved in a crash with a pickup at the intersection of 50th Avenue and Sanibel Lane around 10 a.m. on August 6. The Impala was driven by Vonda Mueller, 73, also of Long Prairie.

Alexandria police responded to the scene where it was determined that Mueller turned left off 50th Avenue into oncoming westbound traffic.

Tylor Lenz, 19, of Royalton was driving a 1997 Chevy pickup west on 50th Avenue with passenger Megan Klienfehn, 19, of Sauk Centre when the Impala crashed into them, according to police. Lenz had a green light.

All four individuals were taken to Douglas County Hospital where they were treated for unknown injuries. Zellgert was later transported to St. Cloud Hospital.

Alexandria police and North Ambulance responded to the scene.
