Dixieland Band to perform at Mount Carmel on August 4

Playing together since 1967, The Barbary Coast Dixieland Band will perform for the public at Mount Carmel Ministries on Saturday, August 4 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and sold at the door. No reservations are required.

Elected to the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2001 and rated among the finest entertainers in the Midwest, the band has played everywhere from the Mississippi paddlewheel boats to Nagasaki, Japan. The band is made up of six musicians who play 18 instruments.

In 1984, the band began playing for church services. Over the years, they have participated in worship services at churches throughout the nation. The band's commitment to this musical ministry usually involves 40 to 42 Sundays annually.

The Dixieland Band will also lead Sunday morning worship on August 5 at 9 and 11 a.m. Join Mount Carmel for the last Sunday brunch of the season from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. by calling 1-800-793-4311. Brunch is $13.50 for adults.
