Resorters Golf Tournament: Junior Divisions continue today

Medalist Peter Dierks kept himself in contention for the Juniors 13-15 Division championship Wednesday as he battled Alexandria’s Lukas Bigger to a 1-up victory in 18 holes, while in the first round of Juniors 10-12 action, medalist Nathaniel Adams of Maple Grove defeated Joseph Bigger of Alexandria 5-4 to remain in the hunt for a crown.

Both Junior Divisions had yesterday off and return to action today for the semifinals.

In the Junior 13-15s, Leawood, Kansas’ Dierks will face Andrew Lindberg of Coppell, Texas, with Sam Franklin of Maple Grove playing Carter Kranz of Sauk Centre in the other semifinal.

In the Junior 10-12 Division, Adams will face Isaac Burgess of Starbuck, and Alexandria’s Hunter Rebrovich will take on another Alexandrian Elliot Amundson.

The 10-12’s return to the tee at 9:36 a.m. today, starting on the back nine, with the 13-15’s stepping to the first tee at noon.
