Resorters Golf Tournament: Hasting golfer wins Pro-Am

Chris Borgen of the Hastings Country Club beat out perennial champions Don Berry of Edinburgh USA and Mike Barge of the Hazeltine Golf Club for top honors in the 2012 Sprint Pro-Am Golf Tournament on Sunday at the Alexandria Golf Club, kicking off the Resorters Golf Tournament in style.

Borgen carded a 6-under-par 66 to take the title, while Berry came in at a 4-under 68 and Barge a 3-under 69.

Barge and Berry tied for the Pro-Am title last year, giving Barge six titles and Berry eight.

Grant Hanson, AGC assistant pro, finished with a 1-over 73, while Lisa Grimes from AGC and Ron Rebrovich, AGC head pro, rounded out the group at 2-over 74.
