Resorters Golf Tournament: Talent abounds in Women's Division

There’s quite a spectacular field in the running for the 2012 Women’s Division championship as past champions Betsy Adrich of St. Louis Park (2003, 2008), Maggie Leland of Alexandria (2007, 2009) and Sarah Roering of Glenwood (2010) join defending champ Emily Kvidera of Ramsey in the championship flight.

Leland was the top qualifier in the field, shooting an even par 72, with Roering and Amanda Woodhull of Minnetonka coming in at 76.

Along with Leland, several other Alexandrians are among the championship flight qualifiers including Amanda Bigger, Andrea Nelson, Dee Novotny and Maxine Carlson.

The Women’s Division opens action at 1:48 p.m. today on the first tee as Kvidera, Carlson, Aldrich and Nelson tee off.
