Tom Bernardy benefit set

The public is invited to support Tom Bernardy and his family at a spaghetti dinner and silent auction on Monday, July 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria.

On May 25, 17-year-old Bernardy, son of Mike and Jenell Bernardy of Parkers Prairie, collapsed at school and was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Bernardy was later transferred to Amplatz Children's Hospital where he was diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy. He was placed second on the A1 heart transplant list on June 4.

All donations will go toward the family's added expenses during this time. Any support is greatly appreciated.
