Letter - Satisfaction should be pay enough
When are we going to quit blaming government and start ourselves to change our way of life?
To the editor:
When are we going to quit blaming government and start ourselves to change our way of life? Why can’t one person earn good wages for good job ethics to support the family and the other one stay home and raise the children to have the values, common sense and consideration of others many expect our country, including schools, to provide now?
Why can’t people retire when it’s allowed and make room for young people, those unemployed and returning veterans to get decent paying jobs? Why can’t the able retired ones help disabled, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, churches, etc. with volunteer work? They are so needed and the satisfaction should be pay enough.
Where have our values gone? Making more money seems to control everything.
