June was born June 12, 1930 in Duluth, the daughter of Joseph and Sigrid (Nelson) Meier. She graduated from Hermantown High School. June continued her education and graduated from Hamline University with a degree in medical technology.

June was united in marriage to Dr. Robert W. Page on June 23, 1951 in Duluth. The couple made their home in Alexandria. June began working at the Douglas County Hospital, where she established the lab at the hospital in 1955. Later, June began teaching at Alexandria Technical College, where she established the medical technician program. She continued to teach at the college until her retirement.

June was a volunteer. She served on the Douglas County Welfare Board and was very active in the League of Women Voters. June was also instrumental in the establishment of Friends of the Library and was a member of Belles Lettres.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by daughter, Susan Page.

June is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Page of Alexandria; son, William Page of Eden Prairie; and sister, Patricia Wilson, of Rydal, GA.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to the Friends of the Library or Hamline University.
