Free breakfast

Saturday, July 14: Alexandria United Methodist Church is offering a free sausage/pancake breakfast from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church, 2210 6th Avenue East in Alexandria. For information, call (320) 763-4624.

Roast beef dinner

Tuesday, July 17: St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Villard is offering a roast beef dinner, complete with trimmings and homemade pies, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Adults are $7, children ages 5-12 are $4 and children 4 and younger are free.

Western barbecue

Wednesday, July 18: Shalom Lutheran Church is offering its 27th annual western barbecue featuring barbecued chicken and pork shops, special entertainment and bake sale. Adults are $9 in advance, $9.50 at the door; children ages 5-12 are $4; children younger than 5 are free.

Cobber Corn Feed

Friday, July 27: Luther Crest Bible Camp is offering a Cobber Corn Feed featuring pulled pork sandwiches and corn. There is no cost to attend, but a free will donation will be accepted. RSVP to hosts Nate and April Larson at (320) 762-8536 or nate.larson@edwardjones.com.

Praise and Hymn Fest

Sunday, July 29: Lake Chippewa Covenant Church in Garfield is offering an old fashioned praise and hymn fest. It will include fellowship, old hymns and an ice cream social. The event begins at 2 p.m. The church is located 3 1/4 miles north of Garfield on County Road 12.
