And the winner of the 2012 Brandon Miss Tootsie Pageant is…Ginger Spicy Snaps, who also goes by the name of Bret Elmer.
Agnes Beefeater, aka, Darrin Quinn, was right on Ginger’s heels, finishing as the runner-up. Rounding out the top finishers was the second runner-up, Holly Ball, portrayed by Kelly Olson.
A total of eight gals – actually guys dressed up as women – vied for the title. All of them had ties to the Brandon, Evansville and Millerville area.
Back by popular demand for a third run, the pageant played out in front of a standing room only crowd at the Brandon High School gym Friday night.
“It was awesome,” said Kim Dingwall, an organizer of the pageant. “Everything went well and it was a huge success.”
The eight “beauties” went through a lot for the event, which raised money for the Brandon Summerfest, held during the first week of August, and for holiday community parties for children.
In addition to their talent routines on Friday, the contestants completed a photo shoot and showcased their rhythm during a group dance routine to a Lady Gaga number.
Their talents include impersonations of some music greats such as Gretchen Wilson, Sade, Patsy Cline, Bombshell, Rihanna, TLC and The Blues Brothers.
Others brave enough to compete were Doris Sacklatoolavich (Shane Henrichs), Delicious Danielle (Dan Schaffer), Thoretta Sh’male (Teddy Wood), Amanda Huginkis (Pat Suchy) and Pok-ur-hi-ness (Larry Slack).
