Donald Hall, 75

Donald Wayne Hall, 75, Garfield, passed peacefully on July 6, 2012 to his heavenly home after being diagnosed in April with pancreatic and liver cancer.

Don was born June 10, 1937 in Lakeville. He was a long-time (42 years) resident of Farmington, and for the last 10 years resided at a lake home near Garfield.

Don was the beloved husband of Alene Hall, father of Brian (Maureen) Hall, Steve (Tina LaChappelle) Hall and Karlene Hall, grandfather to loving grandchildren, Lauren, Charley, Cody and Austen; brother of Gary (Pat) Hall, Marlys (Phil Klegseth) Hall, Dale (Carmen) Hall, and a friend to all he met.

He was a proud member of the Oil-Chemical-Atomic Workers Union (OCAW 6-662, AFL-CIO), the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, Minnesota National Guard and Sons of Norway. Don was a caring, generous man and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 205 Central Avenue North, Brandon.

Visitation is Tuesday, July 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 920 CR 44 NW, Alexandria and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Don will return to his birthplace for a memorial service on Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at Christiania Lutheran Church, 26691 Pillsbury Avenue, Lakeville MN 55044.

Memorial may be sent to the Hall Family, 7835 Big Chip Trail NW, Garfield, MN 56332 for distribution to Don’s chosen charities.
