The Alexandria girls 12U softball team captured championship honors at the Becker Invitational tournament June 15-17. After completing pool play on Saturday, the team entered the playoff portion as the third seed in the Bronze Division. Alexandria then defeated Sauk Rapids in the opening game Sunday, then downed Princeton in the final game to claim the title. Members of the team include Mattie Wirtjes, Emma Albers, Lindsey Knoll, Ally Albers, Alexis Heckert, Kristin Trosvig, Allison O’Kane, Calley Richardson, McKenna Ellingson. Not pictured: Kelsea Haugen, McKenzie Duwenhoegger. The team is coached by Courtney Richardson and JR Richardson.
