Jenna Hedstrom, 16, became the first member of the United States Pony Club to achieve a C-2 level of certification in Western riding May 19. Hedstrom and her horse, Dude, passed an examination that tested Western horsemanship skills and knowledge of horse care, horse management and equitation. Hedstrom is a member of the Windstar Pony Club in Alexandria. Since joining Windstar, Hedstrom has passed a series of five previous traditional rating tests and has represented the Northern Lakes Region at the USPC National Championships.Hedstrom and Dude compete in eventing, hunters and jumpers, dressage, western pleasure and games.
