Edward P Strom, 93, left this life at his home on June 21, 2012, with family at his side. Ed was born on the family homestead in Loyalton, SD, on September 11, 1918 to Gustav and Emma Strom. He graduated from Loyalton High School and attended Northern South Dakota College before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Ed spent 31 years with Mobil Oil Company, representing them in sales and marketing in the Dakotas and later in Minnesota, retiring and relocating to Sun City West in 1983. He was full of life, an avid golfer and always loved to laugh and had a twinkle in his eye. He was a life member of the Elks, and also a member of the Eagles and VFW.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Strom, of Florida; and his loving partner, Evelyn Sundman; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews,.

His daughter, Loreign “Bunny” Ugland, predeceased him. The fourth of six children, he was also predeceased by brothers, Ernest, Leonard and Glenn, and sisters, Vivian and Neva.

At his request, there will be no services. His cremains will be interred privately in South Dakota at a later date. A celebration of his life will be held at the family home.
