Amateur radio club to operate from Lake Osakis this weekend

The local Runestone Amateur Radio Club will be operating from Battle Point Park on the east side of Lake Osakis this weekend, June 23-24.

The field day will include the Todd County emergency communications portable station as well as several stations from local amateur radio operators or “hams.”

The public is invited to attend from 1 p.m. Saturday until 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Within North America, tens of thousands of amateur radio operators will be firing up portable radio stations from unexpected locations this weekend.
