Right now, residents in the Duluth area are recovering from a flood disaster. A state of emergency has been declared in Duluth and Carlton County after more than 9 inches of rain Tuesday night and Wednesday morning washed out roads, interrupted 911 service, flooded homes and businesses, and forced the evacuation of more than parts of Thomson and the Fond du Lac neighborhood of Duluth.

Gifts enable the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters. Visit redcross.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Contributions may also be sent to local American Red Cross chapters or to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.
