Letter - Stop and think before voting
Think what we are being asked to do. We are being asked to make a change in our state’s constitution.
To the editor:
Think what we are being asked to do. We are being asked to make a change in our state’s constitution. A change that would limit the freedom and liberty of members of our human family. A change that is designed to diminish the dignity and value of our gay/lesbian citizens. A change that we are being told is an expression of God’s will.
Stop, think, and reject this foolish attempt to play God. Vote No on the marriage amendment. Let’s defeat this amendment with such a resounding margin that the world will know that we in Minnesota emphatically reject the use of our democratic system for discrimination and bigotry.
