Letter - God's plan has kept elements in balance

To the editor:

Some people have written letters promoting the idea that man is causing climate change. One mistake the Supreme Court made was declaring that carbon dioxide is a noxious gas that destroys the planet.

Humans and animals breathe in oxygen and hydrogen and exhale carbon dioxide. Plants take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. This is the way God created us. For thousands of years, God’s plan has worked to keep the atmospheric elements in balance.

In my years on earth, we have seen variations in the weather: cool summers, hot summers, mild winters (2012) and long, cold, snowy ones as in 2011. God created everything there is and He controls it.

This morning it was reported that some authorities are demanding that poor women in India be sterilized as an aid to control climate change (population control). The ones doing the surgeries were unqualified and did not give the women proper medical care. This is being paid for in part by the West, specifically an organization in Britain.

Every human being is created in the womb (Psalm 139:13) and God loves each one.

Our nation is fast turning away from God and the Bible. Even some churches are teaching things contrary to the Bible and leading many people astray. God says “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)
