Mount Carmel to host speakers June 25-29

From June 25 through 29, Mount Carmel Ministries will hold a morning praise service at 9 a.m., and Dr. Lois Tverberg will speak at 9:30 a.m.

She will speak on how Jesus used traditional Jewish methods to engage his audience. She will tell stories with irony, humor and exaggeration and use examples from Scripture. Hear about some of Jesus' parables and how other rabbinic teachers expounded on similar themes.

At 7:30 p.m. worship, Rebecca Mitchell will present the Book of Esther. With the congregation, "boo" the villain Haman and "cheer" the heroin Queen Esther.
