The Alexandria girls' golf team finished seventh out of eight teams in the Class AAA field at the state golf tournament.
The two-day tournament wrapped up today with the Cardinals shooting a 358 after carding a 354 on day one. Their 712 total was 51 shots off first-place finishing New Prague.
Freshman Natalie Amundson was Alexandria's top scorer after shooting a two-day 173 to tie for 29th place. Amanda Bigger tied for 33rd with a 174. Emily Thul shot a 175 (T-37th), Brynn Novotny a 190 (T-69th), Caroline Roers a 193 (78th) and Shelby Iverson rounded out the Cardinal golfers with a 202 to finish tied for 85th individually.
