Marvin Buse, 90

Marvin Rudolph Buse, 90, Evansville, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Knute Nelson in Alexandria.

Marvin was born May 31, 1922 in Millerville Township, Douglas County, the son of Herman and Magdalena "Lena" (Wilm) Buse. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Millerville. Marvin attended country school No. 56 in Millerville Township.

Marvin and Barbara McClay were united in marriage on March 19, 1946 at West Moe Lutheran Church. After their marriage the couple farmed and made their home in Millerville Township. Marvin dairy farmed along with driving the bulk milk truck for a number of years for the Millerville Creamery. In 1976, they moved to Lake Moses where they resided until 1992 when they moved into Evansville. Barbara passed away September 3, 2005.

Marvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music and old time polkas. He played guitar and the harmonica. He liked spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Marvin was a Millerville Township supervisor, served on the Millerville Creamery Board and Trinity Lutheran Church Board.

He is survived by five children, Gary (Molly) of Vining, Ron (Kathy) of Evansville, Donna (Norbert) Korkowski of Brandon, Allan (Theresa) of Alexandria and Robert (Kathy) of St. Francis; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lena; great-grandson, Andrew Kerber; three brothers, Carl, Howard and Richard; and two sisters, Alice Scott and Adeline Hagedorn.

A memorial service was held Thursday, June 14 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brandon with the Rev. Ed Borchardt officiating.

Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Millerville.
