Jefferson High School students Kelly Nellermoe, daughter of Mark Nellermoe, and Shaun Peglow, son of Roxann and Bill Peglow, were each chosen to receive a $750 Jennie-O Turkey Store Continuing Education Scholarship.
Applicants for the $750 scholarships must either be a Jennie-O Turkey Store employee or a dependent of a company employee. Recipient selection is based on an overall evaluation of academics, written essay and letters of recommendation.

Ellen Lanman, daughter of Shawn and Nina Lanman of Alexandria, received the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Presidential Honor Scholarship. It totals $10,000 over four years. The scholarship recognizes high academic achievement and requires the student to score a 29 or above on the ACT.
Lanman will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in nursing and minor in music. In high school, she was involved in hockey, marching band, concert choir, jazz band, Les Marquise, pep band, National Honor Society and swimming.
