The Alexandria Classic Clippers over 35 men’s baseball team will enter into its second season in the North Star Classic Baseball League this summer.
The Clippers were scheduled to open up the season this past Saturday with road games against the Loretto Sox and the Watertown Mudcats. Alexandria opens the home portion of its schedule with two games against the Dassel Dukes on June 10.
Sixteen players are on the Clippers’ roster this summer. Included in that are original team members Lee Backhaus and Roger Johnson.
Alexandria has a total of six scheduled home games at Knute Nelson Field this summer. Watertown comes to town on July 1. Becker is on the schedule for July 21 and the Monticello Ol’Cats are here to wrap up the regular season schedule on July 29.
