Alexandria clay target team: Jefferson High School wins 1A conference title, competes in state meet this weekend
The Jefferson High School clay target team captured the 1A conference championship recently, overwhelming the competition during the team’s first official season.
Jefferson finished with a total of 129.5 points, while Brandon High School was second in the conference standings with a 118-point finish.
Alexandria’s Brian Krebs earned a spot in the 25-straight club twice this season, while Allison Lundsetter and Andrew Rentschler each reached that mark once.
O’Ryan Bosek and Christian McGaffey of Brandon both reached the 25-straight club one time each.
In the 3A conference, Parkers Prairie finished fourth overall as Tartan of Oakdale took top honors.
The Alexandria Shooting Park will be the site of the State Clay Target championships this weekend, with competitive action on both Saturday and Sunday. Friday is reserved for practice.
Novice and junior varsity will compete on Saturday at 9 a.m., while the varsity tournament begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
