Land and Resource Management Director Dave Rush announced the resignation of Animal Agriculture Technician Andy Siira on May 22.

Siira, who was the Douglas County feed lot officer for the past two years, submitted his letter of resignation on May 17.

“I can’t say enough about what an excellent job that he has done,” Rush said. “When you get good staff people they are very desirable to other agencies.”

Rush said Siira has accepted a position with the Department of Agriculture.

Commissioners granted Rush’s request to advertise and fill the animal agriculture technician vacancy.
