Aaseng to preach interactive sermons at Shalom Lutheran

Pastor Grant Aaseng, senior pastor of Shalom Lutheran Church in Alexandria, was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree in biblical preaching from Luther Seminary in St. Paul. His thesis was entitled “The Appropriateness and Effectiveness of Interactive Biblical Preaching.” Throughout the summer, he will be preaching interactive sermons at Shalom beginning Sunday, May 27.

Pastor Aaseng and his wife, Ruth, will be honored at a reception Sunday, May 27 at 9:45 a.m. at the church.

Shalom offers worship from the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship book each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and contemporary worship with the Spirit of Shalom praise band at 10:45 a.m.
