Home school workshops planned
The Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators (MACHE), along with LEARN at Home, the Alexandria area’s home educators’ support group, are bringing two home schooling workshops to Alexandria.
The Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators (MACHE), along with LEARN at Home, the Alexandria area’s home educators’ support group, are bringing two home schooling workshops to Alexandria.
On Saturday, June 9, a “Considering Homeschooling” workshop will be presented from 9 a.m. to noon at Cornerstone Church in Alexandria. The workshop is for parents desiring to learn more about home education as an educational alternative.
A second workshop, “Finishing the Journey: Homeschooling Through High School,” will be presented from 1 to 4 p.m.
These workshops are sponsored by MACHE. For more information or to register for either workshop, visit the website www.mache.org. Discounted rates are available through May. Online registration is available through June 6, with on-site registration also available the day of the workshops.
The discounted online registration is $10 per couple. Late or on-site registration is $20 per couple.
A used book/curriculum sale will follow the workshops from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Cornerstone Church. Tables are free for LEARN at Home participants and $5 for other sellers.
